Dr. Maggie Pattillo, ND

Clinic Director

As a co-director of the Halifax Naturopathic Health Centre, Dr. Maggie Pattillo invites patients of all ages and health backgrounds into her collaborative, empowering world of naturopathic medicine.

In her family practice, Maggie works with her patients to treat the underlying cause of a condition, helping them live the lifestyle they desire while preventing the onset of future conditions. In the most basic sense, Maggie does this by giving patients the treatments, information and encouragement they need to take control of their health. Maggie’s patients know that while the steps to good health are often basic, the science behind them is complex.

After a stint with the Canadian National Ski Team, Dr. Maggie Pattillo obtained her Bachelor of Science in Biology at Queen’s University and went on to achieve her doctor of Naturopathic Medicine from The Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine (CCNM) in Toronto.

Maggie’s specialized training includes nutritional IV therapy. A unique offering of the Halifax Naturopathic Health Centre, nutritional IV therapy is an individualized treatment that Maggie uses to proactively support a patient’s immune system. IV therapy is also used in conditions in which Maggie specialises; including cancer, fatigue, digestive disturbances and compromised absorption.

Maggie loves the fact that her patients are as diverse as her interests, allowing her to use her expertise across the full spectrum of naturopathic wellness. With her high-performance sport background and love of the outdoors, Maggie enjoys working with athletes and those looking to maintain an active lifestyle. And as someone with 4 sisters of here own, Maggie works with patients all along the continuum of women’s health, from PMS to fertility to pregnancy to menopause (and everything in between).

Maggie lives with her husband Linn, and their toddler Max, in Halifax’s North End.

My practice is focused on Osteopathic treatment, with an emphasis on Cranial Osteopathy and Biodynamics. Since 2005 I've been studying William Garner Sutherland’s Cranial Concept with James Jealous, DO and I participate as a teaching faculty member of the Biobasics New England Osteopathic Group. In addition to my Halifax practice I also have a monthly clinic in my home province of Newfoundland.

Additionally, throughout my own personal health and wellness journey over the past five years I've developed a keen interest in nutritional physiology. During this time I've been studying and learning from some of the top researchers and authors in the field of metabolic health and chronic illness.
